We are so proud and grateful to carry numerous Michigan and Detroit-area based local stationery designers in our shops, two of whom, Worthwhile Paper and Party of One, specialize in beautiful greeting cards just in time for Valentine's Day! See below to learn more about what makes these artists special!
Worthwhile Paper is designed and handmade in Ypsilanti, Michigan, with a focus on bright, energetic colors and shapes and eco-friendly processes.
Artist Kristen Drozdowski creates each of the designs and illustrations that comprise Worthwhile Paper, while their partner Steve screen prints those designs in-house by hand using sustainable materials like water-based inks and recycled paper. All ink is hand-mixed, creating unique color palettes that are then thoughtfully applied one layer at a time.
Kristen's designs, which can be found on notebooks, art prints, enamel pins, cards, and more, are heavily influenced by themes of community, connection, and self-love, with intention to brighten and uplift.

Party of One
Party of One started in 2011 as a side project and creative outlet for designer and artist Alisa Bobzien from her day job as an in-house product designer, and has since grown to become a thriving, woman-owned business focusing on witty, whimsical designs.
A self-proclaimed cat whisperer, Alisa gets a hand in her Ann Arbor, Michigan-based studio from her cats as she packages each item with love, from cards, prints, notepads, and more.
With their clever slogans and observant illustrations, all of the designs you can find at Party of One are made with locally sourced materials and use soy inks and recycled paper.
